Today is a big day! After almost a year and a half, I have finally launched my first product just for creatives and business owners.
And to be honest, I am crying all the tears of joy, relief, excitement and so much more. It truly took a VILLAGE to get this done. From my mastermind, to the multiple friends and family who have read, re-read, edited, and my business partner Erin, of Sweet Viola Designs – who made all the pretty happen!
Hopefully you know me by now but if not, I am Crystal, owner and creative director behind The Crystal Collection Co. I’m a visionary, creator, designer, and experience curator. If you’re wondering what we do, we are a creative design studio that specializes in curating a meaningful visual story for content and elevating your brand and client experience.
About a month ago, I shared my first freebie with you all and it was about ways to elevate your brand. And for me, visual storytelling is ALWAYS an answer. Visual storytelling is, is the use of visual content in the form of graphics, photos or video that tell the story of your brand and what a potential client would experience when interacting with your brand.
One of my favorite services that I offer is creative direction for brand shoots! Most times this looks like creating the vision, mood board, helping design and plan the flow of the day, and of course styling for the day of. The more that I have done (more than I can count), the more I realized you CANNOT just show up in a great outfit and some products. It takes intention, goal + vision planning, and more than likely, a team to help you. Since I can’t be at every single photo shoot and take on ALL the clients, I felt it was appropriate to offer this guide for YOU!
I know you’ve worked hard to perfect your Instagram and Pinterest and Website etc. I applaud you for staying true to the same filters and brand color palette because I know it isn’t easy. But take a moment to reflect. Is your content adapting to the seasonal, life and business changes? Are you providing clients and other vendors with personally curated inspiration? The imagery of your brand should be intentional. It is important to adapt to the expectations of our clients and community through EVERY season, not just our “busy time.” The constant flow of updates will prevent your brand from becoming stagnant. So planning and having a pool of branded imagery is A MUST for growing businesses. SO do the shoot and do it well!
